We romanticise
Our heartbreak
Because it is easier
To believe
That those who made
Our hands shake
Our body quake
Truly loved us
But they don’t have
Real feelings
Or the same minds
We pretend
They have a world
To uphold
And surely that’s why
They left us
Our biggest mistake
Was never falling
For them
It was thinking
They had fallen
For us
